About the Role

It’s an exciting time at Johnston Oils as we embark on our ambitious expansion plans! To fuel our growth (pun fully intended), we’re seeking a dynamic and ambitious Commercial Account Manager to advance our operations in Bathgate and it’s surrounding areas. This pivotal role will involve closely liaising with our Sales, Marketing and Transport teams at our Head Office in Bathgate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and nurture a diverse portfolio of customers through proactive outreach and relationship building.
• Account management of existing customers, ensuring their needs are met with care, commitment, and a professional demeanor.
• Implement strategies to grow and expand the customer base, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
• Conduct regular customer meetings to understand their evolving needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, transport and marketing, to optimize customer satisfaction and retention.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities using CRM software.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the company.
• Represent the company professionally at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness and generate leads.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in B2B sales. While industry knowledge is preferred, we welcome candidates who are eager to learn and grow alongside us as we pave the way for a greener future.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with customers.
• Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities to effectively close deals and secure business.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to track customer interactions and manage sales pipelines.
• A proactive and results-driven mindset, with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Valid driver’s license.
