Covid-19 Announcement

During these uncertain times Johnston Fuels will continue to provide our customers with timely updates regarding our service. We feel it’s important to keep our customers updated and hopefully remove any panic in relation to our service. Johnston Fuels initiated their COVID-19 contingency plan 2 weeks ago to ensure that we continue to provide a robust service through these challenging times.

Essential Service
United Kingdom & Ireland Fuel Distributors Association (UKIFDA) has received confirmation from government Ministers that Johnston Fuels are listed as “key workers” under the utilities sector. Remote Working
Many of our key personnel have been working remotely where possible. We also have limited frontline staff available in smaller teams to answer your calls across all depots ensuring a level of continuity in our service.

Increase in Demand
There has been an unseasonal increase in demand for heating oil at this time and our phones lines are a little busier than normal, however we are answering all available calls and would ask you to bear with us during this time. Depot Collections
As per government advice we are limiting contact at all depots and practicing social distancing to avoid the spread of coronavirus. If you are visiting one of our depots to collect fuel we would ask that you call ahead so you can pay over the phone and we can prepare for your arrival.

Deliveries
It is normal practice for our delivery drivers to obtain a customer signature authorising receipt of delivery. However, as part of our coronavirus measures to limit the spread we will not require a customer signature for deliveries. Should you wish to discuss this then please contact your local depot or account manager.

Delivery Timescales
As highlighted previously we’re experiencing an unseasonal increase in demand and as a result our normal delivery timescales have been extended. These steps are part of our coronavirus response to ensure that we deliver everyone’s fuel in accordance with their current levels and avoid anyone running out.

Emergency Deliveries
The extended delivery timescales are allowing us to delivery emergency supplies of heating oil within 48 hours in the majority of areas that we service. If you are critically low please call the team on 01506 538 538

Opening Hours
Johnston Oils opening hours still remain the same. You can contact us between the hours of 07:30 to 18:00 Monday to Friday and 09:00 to 12:00 on Saturdays.
